Publications Manager

Our client, a prestigious professional body at the cutting edge of Economics research is seeking a Publications Manager to join their team in Central London responsible for their flagship journal title.

The Publications Manager will manage the day-to-day administration and operation of their flagship Journal title as well as contributing to other publication activities, including the management of the publishing committee made up of volunteer Editors. They will manage the editorial office, and be the first point of contact for authors, referees, editors and the publisher as well as supporting the business in other duties across their books and journals programme.

This individual will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have experience of working in a publishing or research office environment with proven administration skills. Great communication skills and stakeholder management experience is important, as well as an excellent working knowledge of MS Office software and database systems such as Access. Any experience of working in a journal editorial office and an understanding of Economics would be a significant advantage.
