Publicist

Our client is a reputable academic publisher of titles across a broad range of areas looking to add to their art books publicity department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready for a step up from Assistant level who has been working on highly illustrated books with an interest in art.

The successful candidate will be helping to put together and carry out publicity campaigns for the publisher's titles as well as their distribution partner's titles as part of a marketing strategy, so the role will involve a lot of liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders. An integral part of the role will be to be able to identify potential media opportunities and secure coverage for titles to drive sales, and organise innovative events and interviews for authors to attend for promotion.

Other key responsibilities will include:
·Putting together press plans across traditional and non-traditional media
·Create press releases
·Send out review copies and negotiate image usage
·Set up promotional material for use across print and online formats
·Develop media relationships
·Respond to media enquiries
·Set up launches and events which are customer focused
·Working to budgets when organising travel and accommodation
·Efficient communication internally and externally
