Publicity Executive

We have an unmissable new role for a dedicated and highly motivated publicity professional looking to take the next step in their career.  Based in London, you will be working for a highly successful and well-known non-fiction brand for this highly acclaimed publishing house.  This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious junior publicist to take your publicity career forward and really broaden your experience.

The Publicity Executive will coordinate, plan and oversee creative publicity campaigns for both front and backlist titles as well as supporting the Publicity Manager with wider campaigns.  You will organise events, tours and accompany authors to events, as well as taking an active role in assessing submissions and providing publicity plans for pitches for new authors and agents.

You will also work with the digital team to ensure a more effective presence for the brand, assist at events and general author support. As well as being part of this major imprint, you will also have the opportunity to work across titles and projects within other divisions when required, therefore gaining the opportunity to expand your skills and experience in a broader role.

This opportunity would suit a highly motivated, ambitious and energetic candidate, who is looking to move to the next phase of their publicity career within book publishing.  The successful person will have some proven experience from a background in book publishing, working on campaigns and able to pitch books effectively and passionately to the media.  You may be currently working as a Publicity Assistant or a junior Publicity Executive looking to move up to the next level. You will be a highly organised individual with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, with strong communication skills to build relationships with authors and pitch campaigns confidently.
