Publicity Executive

Are you a creative and passionate publicity assistant or executive looking for the next step in your career? A prestigious publisher of the best books in well-being and non-fiction based in Central London, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Publicity Executive / Publicist to join their busy publicity team. This is an exciting and varied role with responsibility for publicising a range of non-fiction, well-being and mind body spirit titles working with some amazing authors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing and managing print and online publicity campaigns
  • Act as the main point of contact for authors, delivering outstanding author care
  • Secure media across international, national and regional levels to include short and long media such as websites, podcasts, blogs and national TV
  • Planning and organising author events; and build lasting relationships with both authors and press
  • Actively support the Publicity and Marketing Manager in internal publicity, strategy, sales conferences and author proposal meetings

You will be a confident communicator, great at working with a diverse range of authors and agents and able to prioritise a busy workload. Ideally, you will have solid experience in trade publicity and will be highly confident and organised, as well as passionate about making an impact within the publishing industry and to readers. Social media and design skills and the ability to come up with creative, innovative ideas for securing media coverage for authors and brands will be essential, as well as a collaborative and dynamic approach to team working.
