Publicity Manager

Head of Publicity/Publicity Manager | Oxfordshire | Academic. A prestigious academic publisher, based in Oxfordshire, is looking to appoint a Publicity Manager or Head of Publicity, depending on experience, to take responsibility for managing the European publicity team and the strategy for the publicity campaigns of a number of high profile titles each year across the UK and Europe.

Reporting to the Global Director of Publicity, and working closely with editorial and marketing colleagues, you will be responsible for the management of the company's publicity profile.

Leading budgetary and strategic planning for their publicity programmes, you will ensure that the appropriate resources to support publicity goals are planned for and allocated.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, assess, and cultivate publicity team, including ongoing mentoring and professional evaluation.
• Participates in key interdepartmental meetings and conversations.
• Establishes annual activity targets, budgets and goal-setting for book sales
• Oversees European/UK publicity for several key trade titles a season.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced publicity manager to join a hard working team in Oxfordshire. Candidates with experience of working in academic publicity are sought however, if you have solid experience of working within Trade non-fiction, your transferable skills will be considered.

A key factor will be your experience of managing the UK and European team.
