Publicity Manager

Our client, a highly successful independent trade publisher of non-fiction and fiction books, has an exciting new opportunity of a Senior Publicity Manager. In this role, you will be in charge of creating and executing creative and remarkable campaigns for all their titles. The role is full-time, permanent and offering a salary bracket between £35-40,000. There are hybrid-working options, with 2 days a week in the London office.

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Preparing publicity plans and campaigns for all key titles, from non-fiction to children's
  • Establishing and maintaining strong media and press relations
  • Managing the publicity team
  • Working with the Publisher and Deputy Publisher to build the PR strategy
  • Collaborating with the marketing department on campaigns
  • Writing press releases and pitching effectively to journalists and booksellers

You will have ideally have publicity experience within fiction and/or non-fiction with strong communication and copy-writing skills. You will also have some marketing awareness. You will also be able to pitch well and have a successful record of acquiring coverage for titles across press, broadcast and media. You will be comfortable with multi-tasking and leadership responsibilities, line managing the PR team.
