Our client, a highly respected mass market trade book publisher is continuing to grow and are now creating the new full-time position of PR Manager reporting to the Publicity Director joining a busy publicity team based in London.

The new person will play a key role in creating and organising a wide range of publicity campaigns and running events.

In our view, this is a super newly created career opportunity. We are looking for excellent publicity candidates who have the ability to market and gain publicity for a wide range of trade publishing brands and create campaigns using traditional and the wider media platforms as well as work with national press partners. 

The Publisher welcomes applications from a wide range of candidates either currently at Publicity Manager level and looking for a change, or candidates looking for a move up, perhaps you are currently in a Senior Press Officer role.

What’s more important is that you can now demonstrate you are now ready for a more demanding Publicity Manager role and have already gained an excellent grounding in publicity.

The ideal candidate would be able to work across both high-profile adult and childrens & young adult fiction book campaigns; however, this is not mandatory, but candidates do need experience in personally creating and implementing adult or childrens book campaigns.

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, self-motivated with min 2-3 years’ trade or related trade publishing experience and a great instinct for creating publicity campaigns.

You'll need to be organised, able to think strategically, have excellent writing and communication skills, and this role sits within a busy publicity team, so the successful candidate should be able to balance a wide and varied workload.
