Publisher – Assessment

Our client, a leading provider of formative assessment, is looking for a Publisher, to join their Education department to further develop the creation and evolution of their digital assessment portfolio. 

Reporting to the Head of Product, the Publisher will be responsible for ensuring that the customer’s experience matches the very high quality of their market-leading content. The main responsibilities include:

• Developing digital strategy to improve market position and achieve financial growth
• Tracking UK School Assessment, eLearning and consumer apps to identify opportunities
• Liaising with International teams to ensure products meet requirements of global markets
• Working with Senior Publishers to define business goals and input to digital strategy
• Ensuring Key stakeholder requirements are considered and scrutinised
• Leading on customer experience and product functionality with Project Management and Development teams
• Maintaining a strategic focus during significant organisational and market change
• Facilitating discussions on commercial models, to create attractive subscription propositions.

The successful candidate will have solid publishing experience, preferably from the UK and/or International schools sector, with experience of B2B and B2G software and/or educational online business models. You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of platforms and database management tools and have the confidence to identify new ideas and achieve buy-in from stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail and presentational and organisational skills are essential. Experience working within an Agile production structure is desirable.
