A leading Professional Publisher of information engineering sector based in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit an Publishing Controller on a part-time, 28 hours a week basis responsible for managing the production and publishing processes for conferences, and journals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- ensuring papers are published on time, to budget and to quality
- monitoring files from outsourced suppliers and partners
- supporting the introduction of new journals and conferences into peer review and production systems
- looking for ways to improve systems and processes
The successful candidate will ideally have a good grasp of publishing, strong attention to detail and be an excellent team player. Good technical skills particularly in file manipulation using XML is essential, as well as a logical approach to problem solving. The successful candidate will also have a good knowledge of peer review software, CMS and Excel. This is a part-time role based 1 day a week in the office working with a collaborative and friendly team!
