Publishing Director

Calling all literary fiction publishers!

Inspired are very exciting to be recruiting for one of the top 5 publishers in the world! We're hiring a Publishing Director, for a 12 month fixed term contract based in their highly successful Literary fiction division.

Based in London, working across 3 well known imprints, we are looking for someone who is passionate and has a strong commercial understanding of literary fiction. You will be able to identify new trends within literary fiction, new voices, as well as managing estates and reviving authors from the backlist . There will be one person to line manage, so experience in line management would be an advantage. We will be looking for candidates who have ability to communicate and push the publishing vision forward from acquisition onwards.

• Track record of publishing literary fiction
• Specialist in acquiring and publishing literary fiction
• Strong commercial awareness
• Leadership and people management experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Well networked with agents and authors

The publisher is offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The role will be remote until office based working is safe again, at which point, they will expect this role to be office based.
