Publishing Editor (Journals)

We’re partnering with a leading academic publisher who’s looking for a new Publishing Editor to join them on a 12 month FTC. This is a great role for an Editor who’s been working with academic or STM journals and is looking to step up and manage a high quality portfolio of journals. This role would start remotely.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the article submission, peer review and revision process
  • Support editors and partner society to improve journal quality
  • Manage the financial performance of the journals
  • Lead editorial board meetings and represent the company externally

What you’ll have:

  • Experience working with academic or STM journals
  • A good understanding of the journal publishing process
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong ability to multitask and project manage efficiently
