Quality Assurance Coordinator

Do you have a background in Quality Assurance, or experience in Production and are looking for something a little different? My client, a leading book and gift publisher based in the South West, is looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their Compliance Team. This is a varied role with good opportunities for progression.

 

Key duties:

  • Work closely with editorial, production, and sales colleagues to ensure products meet the agreed internal, customer and licensor quality expectations
  • Provide advice on QA issues for products and ensure that they are delivered to relevant safety standards
  • Support the Head of Group Compliance & Compliance Manager by implementing thorough QA reviews into every stage of the production process
  • Review samples and supplier documentation, advise overseas printers on requirements and agree inspection plans
  • Liaise regularly with creative, production, and sales offices and warehouses both within the UK and internationally
  • Work with the compliance team to research and implement process improvements/best practice

Experience / skills required:

  • Prior experience of Quality Assurance Processes and/or Auditing is highly desired
  • You will be familiar with production processes in the book and gift sectors
  • The ideal candidate will be extremely organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be uncompromising when it comes to quality
  • You must be an approachable and confident communicator and proactive decision maker
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint is essential
  • A full clean driving license and your own transport is a must in order to visit warehouses regularly
