Production Controller

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person looking to take the next step in their publishing career by joining our small, but dynamic Children’s Novelty team based in our London office. This Production Controller role is a full time role working on a wide variety of children’s novelty titles for the trade, special sales and foreign co-editions.

Key responsibilities of this role will include project costing, issuing purchase orders, dealing with files for print and organising safety testing. You will be interacting with the editorial, design and sales teams; print and component suppliers and safety labs to ensure projects are completed on time and to budget.

Strong communication skills are essential. You will need an eye for detail, be numerate and possess excellent IT and organisational skills. You will need to possess a friendly, positive and calm attitude.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of two years’ experience of novelty titles and safety testing; this is preferred, but not essential. You must have four colour book production experience and a good working knowledge of the production life cycle.

The role is a full-time permanent position, based in London. We have a hybrid working pattern which is currently three office-based days
