Who are we?
Inspired Selection is a successful and established recruitment agency based in Central London. We have been recruiting for the Publishing sector since 1999. Our vast client base includes the leading publishing companies, content agencies and other organisations across a range of sectors with publishing or content needs. To give you a better idea of the breadth of our clients, we will work with trade publishers who publish books in fiction and non-fiction, independent outfits as well as academic, scientific and education publishers. We also recruit regularly for the charitable sector and the professional membership bodies and service providers to the publishing industry.

On a daily basis, you will be building relationships with your clients and candidates as well as creating a profile and brand for yourself within your designated sector. Through advertising, attracting and resourcing candidates and then interviewing specifically on the roles from the clients, you will be short-listing the top talent to introduce to publishers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with clients and candidates
  • Writing adverts
  • Candidate attraction, sourcing and management
  • Keeping the database up to date
  • Interviewing and assessing candidates for roles
  • Business Development through meetings, calls, event attendance etc.
  • Negotiating offers for candidates and clients
  • Attending networking events
  • Writing relevant blogs for our website
  • Building and maintaining a social media presence for yourself and the business

This role will suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and is looking for a new challenge in their career - candidates with sales, account management or business development experience would also be a huge advantage. You must enjoy meeting new people and have a genuine interest in finding out about individuals needs and motivations for their future careers. Having a high level of drive and ambition will be crucial as well being able to work to tight and multiple deadlines.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the market leading publishing recruitment agency at a time of growth. Inspired Selection offers a competitive salary and a generous commission structure; we are a fun and friendly team oozing with a true passion and enthusiasm for the publishing industry.
