Regional Manager | Australia

Regional Manager | Australasia | Academic. A global, academic publisher is looking to appoint a Regional Manager to take responsibility for their Australasia territories. Reporting to the Managing Director – Global Sales, this senior role will be based at their offices in Melbourne and will drive and implement a strong regional strategy for continued growth with full accountability for achieving and exceeding sales targets while managing costs.

You will ensure that the Regional team works as an effective unit and is aligned with the company’s global strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing an annual regional strategy and implementation plan
• Determining activities and resources necessary to implement the plan
• Articulating the regional strategy to the wider business
• Communicating progress against plan
• Providing feedback to support the development of the regional strategy
   
  In addition to managing the team, you will take direct responsibility for high level negotiations and will manage the overall relationship with customers and key stakeholders in the region.
   
  Goal oriented and strongly sales focused, you will have demonstrable strategic awareness and will have first class negotiation and deal closing skills. You will have a detailed understanding of the economic trends and opportunities within the region and will be able to think creatively to drive revenues and to solve customer problems.
