Commissioning Team Manager (STM)

A leading European STM Open Access publisher is looking for a Research Topics Team Leader to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual who has experience in commissioning to oversee the Research Topics team. This is a permanent, full-time role and will be based in their London office.

Key duties:

• Line manage Research Topic specialists and be in charge of their development
• Lead group meetings
• Meet assigned targets
• Attend events and conferences
• Communicate with researchers regarding potential projects
• Engage with universities and institutes about the Research Topic project
• Build relationships with the Program and Journal Managers as well as the Editors

Experience / skills required:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with STM publishing and commissioning experience
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
• A team player with people management skills and experience managing a team
• Organised with a strong attention to detail
• Experience of sales desirable
