Salary: £26,000-29,000 DOE

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent

The RIBA produces high-quality practical, technical, and professional guidance for architects, students and construction professionals.

We are looking for a creative, motivated and organised Production and Design Controller to join the RIBA Publishing team within the RIBA. You will manage your own titles through the design of new book typescripts and the production of them from handover of manuscript through to publication, whilst ensuring production budgets, deadlines and quality standards are met.

You will be an important part of the Production team and will work closely with the wider commissioning team while managing relationships with freelance designers, typesetters, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers and printers.

With a creative streak and lots of ideas, you should have a passion for books – their design and production. You will lead on the design of covers and interior page templates for selected titles.

You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in production on highly-illustrated books.
An interest of architecture would be advantageous.
