Rights Manager

We have a fabulous new role for an experienced Rights Manager to work for a successful, global, innovative publisher of children’s literacy books which aid children to learn more efficiently. The organisation is growing rapidly and launching a new list of story books in both print and digital formats and this is a super new role for someone who is looking for a brand new challenge within children’s Rights, as it will offer the opportunity to develop the role and grow the territories.

They are looking for an experienced and talented Rights Manager to join their small friendly London team to expand their growing book range to a global audience, with a focus on the US and Asia, particularly China.  Working with colleagues in other departments, mainly Operations and Marketing, the Rights Manager will be responsible for negotiating and handling imprint deals in these territories, and also coordinating global distribution of their print products.

This is a fantastic new opportunity for a self-starter who is ambitious and results-focused.  The successful person will have demonstrable experience of negotiating foreign rights and licensing deals, ideally in children’s books, educational publishing and/or illustrated books. You will have a strong understanding of the dynamics of selling books through multiple retail and distribution channels, with sound commercial experience.

For further details please forward your CV and a short cover note, outlining your salary expectations and availability.
