Rights Sales Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rights Sales Manager to join the international rights sales team of a world renowned publishing company, where you'll be responsible for securing and growing the co-edition rights and subsidiary rights sales for children's books and the education publishing list. This is the perfect opportunity for a Rights Executive, or similar, looking for a step up and to take on a new challenge. This is a hybrid role where the Rights Sales Manager will ideally be able to visit the company's Oxford office c. 2 days per week to get together with the friendly and supportive team!

As the Rights Sales Manager, covering territories relevant to your experience (and perhaps languages), you will be responsible for helping to grow subsidiary rights sales revenue from the children's and education publishing. You will be responsible for your own accounts alongside finding new international customers, travelling (when travel recommences) and attending bookfairs around the world presenting the publishing content and representing the company. Responsibilities include:

- selling rights internationally (licensing and co-editions)

- devising your own sales strategies and tactics

- identifying sales opportunities from an expansive content list

- meeting revenue targets

- meeting with customers on-line, at bookfairs and/or in their home countries

The ideal Rights Sales Manager will have experience and knowledge of Rights, including licensing and co-editions business models, as well as insight into the trade children's book and/or educational publishing sector(s). With excellent presentation and communication skills, you will be commercially focused with the ability to forge strong working relationships, and a hunger for sales success. Language skills would be a plus but not essential.
