UK and Export Sales Assistant
Reporting to Head of UK Sales, Alex Elliott and working with Emma McArthur, Export Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic person to join Ryland Peters & Small as UK and Export Sales Assistant; a fantastic role for a candidate looking for their first step within publishing.
Ryland, Peters & Small is an independent, illustrated publisher creating beautifully produced books in the areas of interiors, food & drink, mindfulness, health & humour.
Main job responsibilities include:
- Updating daily sales, monthly sales and other spreadsheets for UK department
- General admin and sales support for Head of UK Sales
- General admin and sales support for Export Manager
- Working with Head of UK Sales on Amazon Advantage
- Point of contact for Faber, working on eBooks and metadata
- Providing sales material for the UK and Export department meetings, filling in customer spreadsheets and presentations, dealing with queries and orders from key customers
- Working on reprints, vista and Amazon updates and creating new titles
- Working on the Direct order spreadsheet (DOS), raising invoices and working with Accounts
- Liaising with the UK warehouse for all orders, queries and day to day general admin
- Creating newsletters for Trade and Export customers via MailChimp
- Point of contact for all new trade and export orders and enquiries
Ideal skills required:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing daily tasks
- High level of customer service, providing prompt and accurate responses to a broad range of enquiries, with a strong eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
The role is based in our London offices.
