Sales Executive

Do you have strong customer management skills and a love for books? A prestigious international provider of publishing services is seeking an ambitious Publishing Sales Executive to join their friendly and supportive team and provide sales. Our client is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and the ideal candidate will be well-placed to work from their Harrogate office. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that offer fantastic training and development, alongside a competitive salary and benefits.

The main remit of the Sales Executive will be to sell and market the print and digital product of a new, and highly regarded, business publisher client in the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for selling product of existing clients. Responsibilities will include:

  • Building relationships with HE institutions, universities, schools careers departments and businesses to generate institutional acquisitions of print and digital product
  • Managing and calling on selected trade accounts in the UK e.g. bookshops
  • Working with in-house marketing and sales team to ensure approach is co-ordinated
  • Liaising with client publisher and sales and marketing reporting
  • Attending conferences

The successful candidate will be commercially focused with some experience in B2B, bookselling, or in a relevant publishing sales role. The Sales Executive will be a strong team player, and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and take a proactive approach.
