Sales Executive (Contract)

A leading international publishing house is looking for a full-time Sales Executive to work in their busy sales department. This is a maternity cover contract based in their Oxford office. This is a pivotal role suitable for someone with some previous sales experience, preferably in a publishing environment.

Key duties:

• Handle the sales across a diverse list of trade and specialist titles
• Achieve personal sales targets set by the UK Sales Director
• Process orders and deal with customer queries relating to deliveries and invoices
• Organise the mailings of samples and other promotional material
• Organise special offers and promotions in consultation with the Sales Director
• Liaise with marketing department to ensure the creation of appropriate sales materials
• Provide general sales and admin support to the Sales Directors as required

Experience / skills required:

• You must have previous sales experience, preferably in a publishing environment
• First-rate communication skills and bags of enthusiasm are also a pre-requisite
• You will have a proven ability to work to deadlines and to meet sales targets
• Good IT skills, particularly excel, are required
• You will have a demonstrable professional manner and an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range external clients and internal stakeholders
• A self-motivated approach and the ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
