Sales Manager

An innovative education-focused publishing subscription agency based in Oxford has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join their friendly and collaborative team. This new role offers a competitive salary and is based out of our client's Oxford office working amongst an inclusive and very supportive team, and offers remote working one day per week.

Reporting to the CEO, this role of Sales Manager offers an exciting opportunity to drive sales and lead an enthusiastic sales team of 3 ensuring the continued growth of the company's successful subscription business. Working alongside the Marketing and Retention Managers, you will be responsible as Sales Manager for monitoring and delivering against the Sales strategy and targets. Responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • Developing the annual sales strategy with a plan that will deliver the revenue targets for each Territory.
  • Collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure aims are aligned and providing feedback and intelligence gathered from customers and prospects.
  • Achieving your own sales targets for subscriptions from International Schools in a specific territory.
  • Compiling and analysing sales, prospecting and pipeline data from across the team.
  • Providing monthly pipeline reports to publishers as required.
  • Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach and exceed targets.
  • Coaching your team to develop their sales and relationship building skills.

The ideal Sales Manager will have strong sales experience through applying a range of tactics to generate and close opportunities, along with experience of managing a small team. You'll have top-notch communication, written and verbal, as well as be motivated by making sales through relationship building and a consultative approach. A background in sales, account management or business development within the publishing / educational publishing industry or the education / EdTech sector will be a distinct advantage.
