Sales Manager - Schools, Libraries & Key Accounts

A renowned London based children's publisher is looking to recruit a Sales Manager to build and develop sales of their titles to libraries and primary schools. Key responsibilities include: making regular visits to key accounts to manage the sales relationship and growing sales; build an understanding of the market for both library and schools, including undertaking market research and attending exhibitions and conferences associated with these sectors; take responsibility for all sales-related activity in these sectors to become a spokesperson in this specialist field; providing information to support the decision-making process for acquisitions, and developing your own awareness of the company's product range and competing products.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and growing sales, good commercial awareness and an understanding of publishing processes and products. You will be adept at building successful relationships with key decision makers. In addition a knowledge of the library market and current government policy with regard to education would be a bonus.
