We have an amazing opportunity for a commercial, inspirational and tenacious Sales and Marketing Director to join a leading publishing retailer. This is a Board level position and will work as part of the Senior Leadership team to focus on the sales growth of the business with proven sales, strategic marketing and publisher relations experience.
We are looking for someone who has held a senior sales and marketing position within a multi-channel retail environment with proven success in driving revenue growth for the business. Ideally, you will have developed publisher and other commercial partnerships to raise the profile of the business and increase sales and brand opportunities as well as proven experience in leading successful loyalty programmes across a variety of channels.
With a team of direct reports, who in turn also have direct reports, you will show strong leadership with a clear strategic vision. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of the overall marketing strategy and manage the sales and marketing resources according to agreed budgets. Experience with P&L ownership is key. As a team leader, you will also train and motivate your reporting staff in line with business needs.
