An exciting new senior sales position has arisen with a leading online subscription based Education company, seeking to recruit a highly motivated and proven Sales & Marketing Director that will lead the sales strategy and execution for their online subscription products offered to the UK and International Schools market around the globe. You will join the Oxford office of this highly successful and innovative company within the Educational Publishing space, and in return our client offers a competitive salary and the chance to help shape the ongoing success of their growing business.
As a key member of the senior team, and working closely with the Managing Director, the Sales & Marketing Director will manage a driven and supportive team of 3 (2 Sales Managers and 1 Marketing Manager), and will be responsible for ensuring sales success and achieving revenue growth whilst contributing to overall customer satisfaction. Responsibilities will include:
- Sales Strategy: plan, develop, implement, and manage sales and strategic business plans to drive revenue and increase market share both in the UK and internationally.
- Sales Execution: develop and manage sales teams to execute sales initiatives, achieve goals, and deliver profitable growth; manage and maintain key customer and publishing partner relationships.
- Business Development: monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and feedback key market and sales insights to the teams; and lead and assist with complex sales presentations, bid and tender proposals, and negotiations.
The Sales & Marketing Director will be a collaborative and decisive Sales leader with experience of managing overall sales strategies and a record of success when managing a sales team in a rapidly growing market, ideally in the UK schools / K12 sector, or the education technology (EdTech) or publishing space. Alongside sales experience, an understanding and enthusiasm for the future of digital subscription content in the curriculum market, with an ability to create new sales opportunities and expanded revenue streams will be key. It will also be important that the Sales & Marketing Director have strong consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills to build long-lasting relationships with executive level customers and publishing partners internationally.
