Scholastic is the world’s biggest publisher and distributor of children’s books, supplying books to schools through Scholastic Book Clubs and Book Fairs.
We’re looking for a talented individual to join the schools marketing team as Senior Marketing Assistant- Book Clubs, supporting the delivery of print and digital plans across our schools channels and helping us reach a wide consumer base that includes teachers, parents and children all around the world.
You’ll work on Scholastic Book Clubs, our Scholastic Book Champions home-selling business and other schools projects, assisting with the planning and executing of marketing activity to schools in the UK and Ireland. Tasks will include creating and executing digital comms including email newsletters and social media content, proofreading printed marketing materials, handling logistics for our school direct mail campaigns, and updating website content. Other responsibilities will include daily admin tasks such as managing shared email inboxes, updating campaign schedules and responding to social media queries.
We’re looking for someone with a ‘can do’ approach coupled with strong organisation and communication skills, including a flair for copywriting and a strong eye for detail. Quick to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, you must be numerate and confident working with a range of both internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience of working in a marketing role or school-facing role would be advantageous.
The role offers flexible, hybrid working with an expectation to work out of the company's central London office on the banks of The Thames, at least 2 days per week.
