Science Editor - 3-6 Month Contract

Are you an enthusiastic, well-organised individual with strong English language skills and a good eye for detail?  We are looking for an experienced Editor to join the team of this highly successful open research publisher for a minimum of 6 months. This is a Homeworking role.

The Editor will be responsible for assessing articles and associated research data for editorial quality and appropriateness with some basic editing where required and will provide support for authors using the company’s online submission systems and resolving any queries with the appropriate individuals within the team. You will also tag submissions to the relevant scientific sections within the database.

We are looking for an individual with strong life science subject matter and ideally some editorial experience in the life sciences, with an aptitude for understanding technical issues. You will have strong IT and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. You will be adaptable and willing to take on new and different responsibilities as they arise and also have the ability to adapt to new workflows quickly.
