Senior Books Product Manager - A leading, global publisher of academic content is looking to appoint an experienced candidate to the role of Senior Books Product Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day product planning and delivery of a compelling books product range which will be commercially sound in terms of revenue and profit.
You will create and deliver a refreshed books business plan and will use your experience of the academic & professional publishing sector to grow revenue for the company in addition to increasing market penetration.
Comfortable managing a P & L, you will use your commercial acumen and strong influencing skills to communicate your vision and will have your focus on delivery.
Setting and communicating the vision and strategic development of the books programme, in collaboration with the Head of Publishing
Own new product business cases and forecasts for books
Identify opportunities to innovate books products to optimize profitability
Coaching, inspiring and managing direct reports
Be the voice of the customer
Attendance and speaking opportunities at industry events
With significant, demonstrable experience in relevant product roles within academic or professional books, you will have excellent leadership skills, first class negotiation skills and the experience to deliver commercially successful products. Experience managing digital products will be an advantage.
Highly analytical, you will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and will thrive in a matrixed, cross functional environment.
