About the role:
Cambridge University Press Academic division is looking for a Senior Commissioning Editor to drive forward the development of the STM Open Access journal programme. You will be responsible for contributing to a 3-year new product strategy in key areas that support the overarching STM OA growth/investment strategy. The candidate will be responsible for product ideation, research, development, launch and execution. The role will balance high levels of academic knowledge with entrepreneurial skills and a keen interest in driving new online product innovation and development. Knowledge and experience of Open Access publishing and the Open Research environment is essential.
You will have a higher degree or equivalent in the physical, earth, or life sciences, be able to display winning examples of product innovation, and demonstrate substantial depth of experience of working in an STM publishing environment. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of what our authors and readers want through your knowledge and deep networks within the academic research community. Experience of driving content and revenue growth through innovation is essential.
You will also possess a range of strong behavioural traits. We are looking for someone who mixes creativity, with a drive for knowledge and a determination to succeed.
