Senior Commissioning Editor

Our client is a leading Education organisation in the UK. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Commissioning Editor to join their Product Support team, based in either their Coventry or Cambridge office.

As Senior Commissioning Editor you will lead a growing commissioning team, responsible for keeping its finger on the pulse of areas where teachers need support, commissioning resources and CPD as required. Fostering and guiding a pro-active approach to digital and print publishers, you'll lead a team of two to propose creative and innovative solutions to areas of customer needs. Reviewing monthly insight reports you'll incorporate suite-specific insight into future product management. Building a firm and time-aware knowledge base of teacher needs, worries and problems, you will be responsible for spotting trends to dictate reactive support projects. Comfortable making decisions to support development and research priorities, you'll share support insight across the business which will shape future strategies.

Ideally, the Senior Commissioning Editor will have a background in either publishing or resource development, whether that be print or digital for the UK schools/colleges market, you'll have experience of delivering against a range of customer research and engagement projects. Excellent people skills and ability to work constructively with others, you will have examples to share of commissioning for education products or services, with evidence of managing customer or market research.
