Senior Content and Communities Manager

We have exciting opportunities with a well-known trade publisher renowned for their gorgeous, highly illustrated books across Non-fiction. This hybrid working role is for a Senior Content & Communities Manager to drive brand engagement and contribute to the digital strategy. The position involves owning all digital marketing channels, focusing on increasing audience growth and engagement across social media, email, and website content.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communities Director to shape the digital channel strategy, including audience profiles, growth plans, and content strategy.
  • Work with external consultancies and partners to develop an effective and engaging content plan.
  • Devise, execute, and report on growth marketing plans.
  • Update product information on the website in line with the publishing calendar.
  • Use measurement tools such as Google Analytics to monitor traffic from organic search, paid campaigns, social media, and email marketing.
  • Manage the B2C content strategy and all stages of the content production cycle - planning, delivering, and monitoring.
  • Lead the development of innovative email and social marketing plans to grow online communities.
  • Identify and manage digital marketing partnerships with relevant brands and personalities to amplify social media presence.
  • Line manage one direct report.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing content and social media strategies, focusing on data-driven analysis to drive strategic direction. They should possess working knowledge and experience with various technologies, such as social media publishing, MailChimp, and Content Management Systems, along with strong analytical skills and familiarity with web and social analytics tools. Relevant sales and marketing experience, ideally within publishing or the arts, is essential. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills to craft engaging copy for different audiences and platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and knowledge of book publishing in one or more of our key markets would be advantageous.
