Senior Design Manager

Our client is a leading professional, academic and trade publisher based in Central London. They are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their team in a critical new role.

The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for managing the process of commissioning freelance designers, managing budgets, sourcing new design talent, providing feedback to the design team and ensuring all visuals for front covers are available in line with the requirements of the publishing schedule. This role will also have responsibility for artworking final covers, or managing the process with an agency and ensuring the cover briefs are fit for purpose ensuring the publishing team are clear on communicating visual requirements.

The successful candidate will have strong design management experience, as well as confidence in working cross functionally with publishing, sales and marketing teams. The Senior Design Manager will both impact the overall visual aspect of our clients brand, as well as being quite hands on with exceptional organisation skills. Our client is looking to hire someone by Christmas 2019 with a view to starting with them in February 2020.
