Senior Desk Editor
Our client is a leading publishing of scientific journals with offices globally. Their Beijing, China, office is to recruit a Senior Desk Editor.
As Senior Desk editor, you will be responsible for managing a team of Desk Editors. As a team and department, you are responsible for the peer review administration procedures using online peer review systems. You will use tools such as PubMed Central but familiarity with online submission platforms such as ScholarOne Manuscripts TM or Editorial Manager TM would be advantageous also. You will be responsible for the recruitment, performance management and training of this team. Ensuring and monitoring output and progress and development.
We are looking for:
·A postgraduate qualification, PHD or equivalent in biomedical sciences
·Experience of publishing and production processes
·Experience in line management, coaching and mentoring
·Fluent in Standard Chinese/Mandarin
·Ability to demonstrate influencing skills
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
