Senior Editor

Are you a Senior Editor experienced in managing a publishing process from ideas to published books with an expertise in Children's Non-Fiction?

A leading independent publisher in central/south London is looking to appoint a Senior Editor on a 12 month contract. You will work on a range of children's non-fiction books, specialising in commercial non-fiction aimed at a variety of ages and the role will involve producing trade and co-edition titles.

You must have previous relevant experience in children's publishing and will have excellent editorial skills in proof reading, copy-editing and project managing of books. You should have experience in project managing book projects through the editorial process and will commission writers, illustrators, liaise with designers and look after budgets.

You will be expected to work on multiple titles at once, all of which might have tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be highly creative, have a strong eye for detail and be passionate about children's books. You should have good IT and InDesign skills.
