Senior Editor

Our client, a well-respected scientific/medical press based in central London, produces a number of internationally respected publications in print and digital formats. They are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Editor to manage the research and learning resources team and to ensure all content is published in line with their editorial strategy guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

Oversee, commission, edit and contribute to the learning content across the platform
Oversee, commission and review research manuscripts
Manage 2 Clinical editors
Build and maintain a network of contributing authors
Strategically develop content in line with the needs of the consumers and take the editorial lead on digital product development of learning solutions.
Collaborate with the Editorial Production team and the News team to ensure the quality and relevance of content across the platform.
Implementing editorial strategy for learning and CPD
Managing budgets and resources

The successful candidate will be a subject expert within the STM field who takes a strategic approach to their work. You will be a strong communicator with high level of influential and negotiation abilities. You will ideally have experience in commissioning review articles and an understanding of the STM publishing process. Demonstrable experience in producing learning resources for the STM sector would be advantageous.
