A highly creative fixed term role of an Editor has arisen with a globally renowned publisher to join their children's imprint for 12 months. You will be responsible for the editorial process of the book from costing, budgeting to co-ordinating schedules . The role is for a maternity cover of 12 months, full-time and offers hybrid working in the company's London office (min. 2 days a week).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial stages of projects such as negotiating contracts and budgeting Researching new publishing opportunities
- Reviewing submissions
- Proposing new ideas for books at editorial meetings
- Making sure the titles are produced on time and to a high quality
- Presenting the company's titles at events and conferences
You will be an Editor who has experience working on children's books. You will have excellent project management and organisational skills with a positive problem-solving and considerate approach to each book project and author.
