Senior Editor Parental Leave - 18 month FTC

A great opportunity has just arisen with our client, a leading and award winning Children's Publisher, for a Senior Editor to join their busy team based in central London to cover parental leave for 18 months. This role is focused on working on the development of their Characters list.

This role is ideal for someone who has similar experience working on picture books. Reporting to the Character Publisher, the key responsibilities of this role include managing the editing of the Character list, developing and writing text for specific titles, manage costing requests and liaising with internal as well as external contacts. You will also be responsible for taking projects through the development process and delivering them on time and to budget.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a real passion for children's picture books and experience working with licensed characters. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task as well as prioritise several projects at once.

If you have passion for children's books, a creative flair and editing experience then this role will be for you.

You will be working on pre-established brands and will require great imagination to present new materials.

The role is offering a hybrid working pattern.
