Senior Editor (STM)

Do you have solid editorial experience in STM publishing? Have you managed an editorial team before? A leading STM publisher based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Editor to produce and develop their learning and research content. Managing a team of editors, the successful candidate will commission, edit and review all content promoting the professional development of scientific teams.

Key duties:

• Implement editorial strategy, commissioning, editing and developing all learning and research content
• Manage and motivate a team of two editors
• Act as the face of learning and research publications, building and maintaining authors and referees network
• Ensure articles and scope of content meet audience’s needs, using feedback, data and analytics
• Work with editorial production team to ensure smooth publication on print and digital platforms

Experience / skills required:

• Solid experience and knowledge of STM editorial processes and publishing
• Proven track record of commissioning review articles and producing learning content for healthcare professionals
• Previous experience managing and developing a team is required
• Excellent commissioning and editing skills
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a clinical or scientific discipline
