We are looking for an experienced and results-driven event marketer to join the busy marketing team of this fast-growing consumer and business media publishing organisation. This fabulous new role will take responsibility for planning, developing, implementing and managing a digital marketing strategy to support their events business. Working closely with the Events Marketing manager and the wider team, you will utilise online and social channels to generate interest, capture data and obtain new projects for their portfolio of market-leading conferences and awards events. You will also be involved in helping to build and maintain event websites, optimise enquiries , bookings and traffic, and work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure sites are SEO optimised, as well as write, implement and manage promotional copy for digital marketing materials, including video, and liaise with the events marketing team.
The successful person will be a digital native, who has a deep understanding of different social media channels, SEM/PPC and email marketing . You will have demonstrable experience in digital marketing, and strong creative flair with the ability to write compelling and persuasive advertising copy. Demonstrable experience of lead generation using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as a working knowledge of social media tools are essential. Knowledge of the events industry is preferred, but demonstrable experience of engaging audiences online and turning that engagement into revenue, is more important.
