We are looking for an experienced events marketer to join the busy marketing team of this fast-growing consumer and business media publishing organisation. This fabulous new role will take responsibility for planning, developing, implementing and managing a digital marketing strategy to support their events business. Working closely with the Events Marketing Manager and the wider team, you will utilise online and social channels to generate interest, capture data and obtain new projects for their portfolio of market-leading conferences and awards events. As a marketing specialist, you will help to build and maintain event websites, optimise enquiries , bookings and traffic, and work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure sites are SEO optimised, as well as write, implement and manage promotional copy for digital marketing materials, including video, and liaise with the events marketing team. The office is based in London and there is flexibility for part-remote working once they return to the office.
The successful person will be an events marketing native, who has an understanding of different social media channels, SEM/PPC and email marketing . You will have demonstrable experience in digital marketing, and strong creative flair with the ability to write compelling and persuasive copy. Demonstrable experience of lead generation using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as a working knowledge of social media tools are essential. Knowledge of the events industry would be a bonus, but demonstrable experience of engaging audiences online is more important.
