Senior Press Officer

Our client, a world-leading publisher based in London, is looking to appoint a Senior Press Officer to join the PR team, working across adults and children's non-fiction trade publishing. The company offer flexible, hybrid working from their central London office, and an excellent salary and benefits package.

Under the supervision of the Head of PR, the role will include planning and executing strategic, sales-driven PR campaigns, working closely with the Marketing, Editorial, Sales and the Social Media team. Working in non-traditional areas is a big part of this role. The role requires you to work on local and global campaigns across a varied portfolio, with a particular focus on licensing titles. Accompanying authors to interviews, assisting with events and book signings will be involved, as well as working closely with the sales team to support retailer requests. You will have the chance to think outside the box when planning PR activity, and attending exhibitions and events for licensing products will also be a part of the role.

As the successful Senior Press Officer you will ideally have demonstrable PR experience and a track record of delivering successful PR campaigns; experience in author care and working with agents is essential. The ideal candidate will have a media database of press contacts, with strong relationships across national press, and broadcast media outlets. Excellent communication skills are a must. You should be adept at writing press releases, trade announcements and other press communications. Juggling multiple tasks at once, you should be able to remain calm under pressure and know how to prioritise. The role might suit someone currently at PR Executive or Press Officer level, looking to take the next step in their career.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised publishing company and develop a long lasting PR career!

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
