Senior Product Manager

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join a leading independent academic publisher to work on online learning products and library resources.  Based in lovely offices in central London but part of a global team this is an excellent next step for someone with academic or professional publishing and digital product development experience.

Key duties:

  • Work with the editorial team to develop new product concepts into workable commercial proposals
  • Lead the implementation of product development, delivering business plans and launching first-class products
  • Follow-up product improvements focusing on commercial success and market requirements
  • Take an ambitious approach to opportunities for your products, while focusing on practical, achievable deliverables
  • Drive product improvements, redesigns, and new product launches and be accountable for successful decision making
  • Build a strong knowledge of target users and buyers
  • Oversee at least one direct report, supporting them to deliver products and product enhancements within the product management framework and supporting their professional development

Experience / skills required:

  • Experience working in academic, society or professional publishing
  • Solid product management or digital product development experience
  • Experience of web analytics tools, wire framing software and usability testing
  • A collaborative approach and excellent relationship management abilities
  • Strong project management abilities and proven experience of driving successful delivery of products
  • Experience of developing and communicating a user-centric product vision and overarching strategy
