Senior Product Manager - Cases, Journals & New Content. A leading, global publisher of academic content is looking to appoint an experienced Product Manager to the role of Senior Product Manager. You will develop a strategic and customer driven product roadmap, managing existing products successfully as well as delivering new revenue generating products and product features, which reach new customers and customer segments, enhance customer retention, create further upsell opportunities and deliver a great user experience.
Comfortable managing a P & L, you will use your commercial acumen and strong influencing skills to communicate your vision and will have your focus on delivery. You will also have direct line management of two product managers within the team.
Setting and communicating the strategic development of the cases, journals and new content programme in addition to enablers such as e-Commerce
Own new product business cases and forecasts
Leverage agile methodologies to take an iterative 'customer-first' approach to product development
Coaching, inspiring and managing direct reports
Be the voice of the customer
Attendance and speaking opportunities at industry events
With significant, demonstrable experience in relevant product roles within academic publishing or a related area, you will have excellent leadership skills, first class negotiation skills and the experience to deliver commercially successful products. Experience managing digital products will be an advantage.
Highly analytical, you will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and will thrive in a matrixed, cross functional environment.
