Senior Product Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Manager to join a world renowned independent Publishing company and manage a high profile portfolio of digital products. This role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and can be based at our client's London or Oxford office.

As Senior Product Manager your main remit will be to ensure that the varied, award-winning, list of digital products are in-line with user requirements across the Academic customer base. Responsibilities include: to develop new digital product ideas through the proposal stage, by researching content and feature requirements and assessing feasibility; to manage products after launch to ensure that content updates and enhancements are performed; and to manage the content requirements for new products. The Senior Product Manager will have the opportunity to input into the strategic development of the digital products through feeding back insight gathered from conducting market research with librarians, end-user interviews and User Experience (UX) research. They will also be responsible for monitoring sites for bugs and improvements, and provide regular website usage analytics reports and advise on opportunities for improving content & features based on analytics.

The Senior Product Manager will be a proactive problem solver with strong experience of digital product management, with a demonstrable record of delivering successful digital products. An understanding of the needs of the academic library market and library systems (including authentication methods and metadata supply) will be beneficial, as would experience in editing XML and working with Content Management Systems (knowledge of HTML and CSS an added advantage).
