Are you an experienced illustrated book production professional? We have a fantastic opportunity at a well-respected arts book publisher in central London. They are looking to appoint a Senior Production Controller to work in their award winning production team covering the production process of a range of highly illustrated front-list titles.
Your role will be from initial costing, price negotiation, specification, budget and internal approvals, to approval to print, and final delivery of printed and approved books to the shipper. The role requires: sound knowledge of pre-press and press production processes and proven hands-on 4 colour book production experience; meticulous attention to detail and appreciation of excellent quality in colour reproduction and print; experience in dealing with artists, designers, architects, and photographers
You will be a team player with a positive, calm approach to making books in a creative, demanding atmosphere. With great communication and numeric skills, you will be able to confidently agree and plan schedules with the co-operation of the book making team. This role will be ideal for an experienced production professional seeking to further their career and combine this with a passionate interest in the visual arts.
