Senior Production Controller (Adult Division)

Our client, a leading independent trade publisher, is looking for a Senior Production Controller to work on their fiction and non-fiction titles.  This is an exciting opportunity for a production candidate to join the friendly and busy production team at this renowned publisher.

Key duties:

• Prepare titles for both print (mainly mono) and digital editions
• Oversee the production process of a list of fiction and non-fiction titles
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget and meet high quality standards
• Responsible for project costing and print buying
• Liaise with in-house departments and external suppliers

Experience / skills required:

• Proven experience in print buying
• Experience with full production cycle, from delivery of raw MS to print production
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Keen eye for detail and good numerous skills
• Knowledge with Biblio and XML-first workflow will be a plus
