Senior Production Controller (Custom Production)

A leading trade publisher is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Production Controller to join their friendly team to work on repackage of their well-recognised Adult and Children’s titles.  This is a great opportunity to become part of a successful and renowned publishing house with an impressive list of award-winning publications.

Key duties:

• Involve in the creation and delivery of titles for special sales and custom publishing across global market
• Manage all aspects of the titles at all stages including product development and safety testing
• Creatively negotiate to tight margins with suppliers
• Work collaboratively with the team across a variety of products such as shrinkdowns and slipcase sets
• Communicate closely with sales, design and editorial team as well as suppliers

Experience / skills required:

• Proven experience working in a similar book publishing production environment
• Good understanding of four colour, co-edition, print finishes and book plus production
• First-rate communicator adept at building and maintaining relationships
• An enthusiastic, proactive and solution focused approach to work
• Excellent time and budget management
