(Senior) Production Controller- French Speaker

An international print production services company based in Oxfordshire is looking for a (Senior) Production Controller.  You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills as you will be working alongside colleagues in their European office to manage print production projects for their clients in France. This role would be ideal for either a graduate or equivalent with some knowledge of book production/publishing or someone with book print production experience looking for a new challenge. Please note candidates must be fluent in French. This is a full time role based in Oxfordshire.

Key duties:

•           Liaise effectively with customers via email and telephone contact

•           Visit clients independently when appropriate

•           Monitor print production work flows and quality control

•           Manage and develop relationships with new and existing customers

•           Draw up accurate specs based on customer requirements

•           Raise purchase and shipping orders accurately

•           Advise customers and colleagues on non-standard products

•           Work to improve and develop good customer relations

•           Take responsibility for customer budgets

•           Report and act on new sales leads and opportunities

•           Manage all quotations and determine appropriate pricing levels

Experience / skills required:

•           Fluency in both spoken and written English and French

•           Some understanding of book print production process

•           Good commercial and market awareness

•           Excellent organisational skills to manage varied workload to schedule and budget

•           A proactive work ethic when dealing with customers

•           Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with minimal supervision

•           Excellent communication and customer service skills
