Senior Production Editor

We have a new fantastic opportunity for a Senior Production Editor to join the team of a prestigious London publisher of life sciences journals. They can offer hybrid working with 2 days in the office.

The Senior Production Editor will oversee the end to end production schedule of one of their medical journals through to digital publication. Some production and editorial experience is necessary, ideally from working in scientific publishing, together with knowledge of InDesign or similar software.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing the production and editorial processes for assigned journals
• Managing the complete journals workflow from submissions and acceptances through to sending proofs and coordinating payments
• Acting as the main point of contact for authors
• Collaborating with Copy Editors and other Production Editors on decision making and to distribute projects
