Senior Project Editor

A leading Irish educational publishing company is looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Editor to manage their education programmes within an expanding list. The company offers an excellent salary and hybrid working pattern based out of their Dublin offices, amongst a friendly, supportive and inclusive team. Working on primary and post-primary titles, and delivering print and digital programmes, the Senior Project Editor will manage author relationships and their own workload efficiently and skilfully. The Senior Project Editor will liaise with the designers, proofreaders, illustrators, copyeditors, subject matter experts and junior members of staff associated with their projects. Working on high-quality, highly-designed titles complete with complex illustrations and diagrams, they will be responsible for providing frequent updates on progress, identifying risks and suggesting solutions. You will work alongside the other members of the Editorial and Digital Teams, as well as liaising closely with the Commissioning, Production and Sales Teams.

This is an exciting and varied position and an excellent opportunity for an experienced Editor looking for their next challenge, more responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a dynamic, growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid project management experience within an editorial environment, combined with proven editorial experience within publishing, ideally within educational publishing, although candidates with relevant experience from other areas of publishing with an interest in education will be considered.
